Michelle graduated from Northern Michigan University in 2005 for Cosmetology and in 2009 at Finlandia University for Business and Communications. Throughout her career, she has played a variety of roles in both local independent businesses and corporations. She has extensive experience in increasing revenue & profit for several different types of business models as well as customer/client relations & personnel management, AKA building a progressive productive team. Michelle is a forward thinker who strives to remain innovative in her approach to business & the needs of her team.
She enjoys listening & communicating in a sincere authentic way with clients & staff. She takes the time necessary to ensure that anyone that enters her business will leave feeling appreciated, heard and respected. She has a passion for people & loves the variety of life! She strives to create & maintain a natural, balanced, sustainable environment for both her family & business. Outside of the salon, she enjoys road/mountain biking, plants! & international travel with her husband.
After concluding her schooling in 2008, Summer went on to work in a salon and complete her apprenticeship on the lovely 0BX (outer banks) of North Carolina. She has gone on to craft her passion with enhanced education from Aveda and Kevin Murphy to truly re-create all shades of blondes with classic and advanced custom techniques. She also enjoys textured cutting of all lengths and everyday styling. Summer has a unique ability to ensure her clients are truly heard & feel comfortable. She provides an honest upfront dialogue her clients can trust & rely on, to deliver the total package for them!
Graduating from Aveda in 2007, Ashley worked in Chapel Hill for 7 years then made the move to Raleigh. Specializing in natural balayage and color contouring Ashley has the skills needed to formulate the perfect color for a guest whether it be dramatic, subtle or anywhere in between. “ I love taking on the ‘challenge’ of all hair types and taking part in matching my guests inner beauty with their outer beauty.” Understanding the frustration of recreating a desired look, Ashley takes the time to listen to your routine and simplify your style and maintenance. “There are too many things in life to worry about already, hair should NOT be one of those. I am all about kick ass hair with little effort.”
Jennifer joins us at Meraki with extensive experience(13+ years) and certifications in all things blonding ,several types of extension techniques including the most natural hand tied wefts as well as bridal styling and a passion for cutting. She is excited to design and implement a custom look unique to each guests needs and wants. Her attention to detail pushes her to excel in the most innovative and current trends, always leaving her guests feeling and looking amazing!
In her free time she enjoys being a “cat mom” and exploring all Raleigh has to offer. She is also an accomplished chocolatier and cook so don’t be jealous of the treats the team at Meraki gets to enjoy. Fun fact she is an identical twin!

Caroline completed her schooling in 2016 at Paul Mitchell The School in Delaware. She has been recognized for her attention to detail, commitment to clients, consistent professionalism and energetic spirit. “As a hairstylist, I believe my work is not only about the hair, but also about the client and the art that we create. I like to focus on making every client feel unique, valued, and ultimately satisfied with the end result. My heart and dedication are put into every haircut, color, and client interaction.” Caroline is also an accomplished graphics designer and portrait artist so she has a strong desire and passion in all things creative! She loves to make sure each person leaving her chair is happy and satisfied. “I look forward to making Meraki my salon home as well as Raleigh and can’t wait to meet you all! Let’s create art together!”
Chloee graduated in 2017 from Paul Mitchell The School with top honors in color and cutting, active in “every club” she could participate in. Her passion for hair started at the early age of 8 and has only grown as she’s gotten older! Her friends and family have been her “guinea pigs” as the years went by. Chloee has a passion for Balayage and the customization it provides her guests as well as blonding in general. “Hair to me is more than that…it’s happiness!” She loves working here at Meraki Salon “because it’s a welcoming and happy environment to be in, it feels like a home away from home!”
Rachel graduated with honors from Aveda Institute Chapel Hill in 2016. Her love for hair stared at an early age and developed into a passion for creative and eccentric colors among the classic styles/colors. She especially loves color melting/balayage & short cuts!
She has a background in art & fashion, contributing styling & makeup for photoshoots & special events. She enjoys collaborating with team events including 4 years with the special Olympics & the Carolina Mudcats.
Outside the salon, she enjoys spending time with her spouse and family. Fun fact:she loves anything to do with water polo. She’s eager to learn and grow here at Meraki!
For Lyndsee, hair has always “been her happy place”. At a young age, she knew that hair would be her preferred medium for artistry. From creative cutting to braided up styles, her passion lies within each transformation. She believes the perfect salon experience starts with a thorough consultation, in which we collaborate on the clients every need to produce the perfect result.
Lyndsee enjoys all elements of the hair industry and is excited to broaden her skill set here at Meraki as a part of the team. “I look forward to being a part of your hair journey at Meraki Salon!”
Jessica graduated from Paul Mitchell the School in Delaware in 2018. She likes to focus on balayage with blonding and bronding techniques as her fav as well as that perfect cut and style to finish the total look.
She joins us here at Meraki Salon with a passion for continuing education, attending industry classes and shows around the country. Jessica loves to create that perfect look for brides and bridal parties as an additional speciality.

Alyssa is a spring 2019 graduate of the coveted “Phase 2” program of Paul Mitchell the school in Charleston, South Carolina. In school, Alyssa was regularly recognized for her talent, attention to detail, and ability to make her clients’ hair dreams come true. Soon after graduation, she and her fiance’ relocated to Raleigh, alongside their sweet pitbull, Bentley, and sassy cat, Maya-they are excited to take in all that this great city has to offer!
Alyssa truly enjoys blonding and balayage, as well as styling and braiding. Doing hair has always been a passion of hers, and after years of working in hospitality and hoping to get behind the chair, she realized her dream when she turned her hobby into a career.
Outside of the salon, she enjoys spending time with her family-both on the couch and in the outdoors. She is a novice chef, enjoys crafting, and loves to explore new places.
Alyssa is thrilled to be joining the Meraki team, and can’t wait to see what Raleigh and her new career have in store!
Kerry is an Aveda Institute in Chapel Hill 2019 alum. She is a 2019 Professional Beauty Association Beacon winner where she attended specialized classes among other top students from across the country at the International Salon and Spa Expo.
A life-long lover of art and fashion, Kerry graduated from NC State in 2017 with a degree in Fashion and Textile Management. After working as an assistant apparel buyer, she decided to apply her creative talents to the Cosmetology profession. She is excited to join the Meraki team where she can grow and learn alongside her fellow stylists & mentors! She enjoys vivid colors, custom cuts and balayage.
Besides her love of hair, she loves quality time with her loved ones and cat Luna. She enjoys listening to podcasts, drinking coffee and seeing live music.
After graduating in 2011 with a BA in studio art, Jessica applied her creative background throughout her work. She’s excited to bring her experience in marketing, design and photography to Meraki. She is happiest applying these skills to her own personal projects, like her jewelry line @hyggejewelry. She’s thrilled to be apart of such a close knit team in a warm, creative environment.
After Liz’s studies in 2011, this sassy Latina went straight to working in the service industry. She enjoys helping others and spending time with her family. This hardworking lady bought her parents a forever home in 2018 and couldn’t be any prouder.
In her free time, she likes to get lost in unfamiliar cities with her boyfriend and try new restaurants. She also enjoys going to live concerts and tending to her plants. She plans on going back to school to get her esthetician license and work in a medical spa whilst doing freelance makeup.
In 2013 Bethany graduated with a degree in Public Health focusing on Women’s and Gender Studies. Upon completing her degree, she worked at non-profits until she decided to pursue her dream of becoming a cosmetologist! She is currently attending Paul Mitchell the School Raleigh and plans on graduating in 2012, focusing on creative colors and blonding.
Outside of work and school she enjoys taking walks with her dog, Opal, and cuddling with her cat, Betsey. She also takes joy in taking her partner on mini adventures and balcony gardening!
Mary Ella is currently a senior at NCSU, studying Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources. She is also heavily involved in Summit College, which is an on-campus ministry at State. Outside of her studies, she enjoys drinking coffee, going on walks, and baking – all with a friend by her side! Relationships are very important to her and she loves meeting new people. After graduation, she plans to go into a career that will allow her to help and serve those in the community.
