Gift Cards

We now have online gift certificates available! You may purchase over the phone or in store.  You may check balances over the phone or in store or choose a different person to redeem at any point. No returns on gift card purchases, expiration 1 year from purchase, can not be used to purchase a new gift card.  Any previous gift cards will be honored up to their expiration dates. Gift cards are reusable and can be transferred to someone else as well. Please call for more details.

Payment

COVID-19 UPDATE:Touchless payment is required moving forward, no cash or checks. A card on file will be required to secure an appointment.

We accept cash, personal checks, and ALL major credit cards. We CAN NOT accept any prepaid gift cards like Visa gift cards and the like, our terminal can’t process them. We can’t accept split credit card or debit payments in 1 transaction per our merchant policies.

Gratuity

If you would like to leave gratuity for your hair stylist as well as any stylist assistants/apprentices, you may do so in cash, personal check made out directly to them, credit card tip or Venmo app.

Required Consultations/Deposit/Payments~Updated!

To ensure the most consistent client care and top experience here at Meraki, consultations in varying durations are required for all new to us clients(cut or color). ALL New color or a change in current color/techniques must have a consult performed prior to performing the service. The full service may not be guaranteed same day due to time needed. As a courtesy for those who may not be able to make it in salon for a consult, we have virtual (via email survey/pics) consults available. This applies to any extensions, color corrections or other speciality type service outside of the above.

There will be a $50 non refundable payment at the consult(30 minutes only) to compensate for the stylists time and expertise in performing this, as a courtesy we will apply this to your future color service with that stylist. Please be mindful of the total cost day of for gratuity purposes, regardless of the split payments in 2 visits. We appreciate your support for your stylist!

Color corrections will have a required 50% deposit of the estimated total cost applied at consult time to reserve this lengthy service.

Cancellation Policy

We require a 24 hour notice if you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment. If you’re unable to give us adequate notice outside of emergencies, as a courtesy to our stylists and the time reserved on their schedules, 50% of the estimated service for less than 24 hours notice or 100% if you are a NO CALL NO SHOW, this will be charged to the card on file or as a balance owed at your next visit, this is non refundable and goes directly to your stylist. A credit card on file will be required and used for this purpose. Future appointments will need a deposit paid in order to book and are not guaranteed.  You are allowed one free pass. After that it will be by owners approval with communication from the guest.

This policy is designed to provide partial compensation for our highly skilled hair stylists, who rely on a busy schedule for a rewarding career. This policy helps us retain our highly trained employees. Meraki Salon does not receive compensation for this but rather it goes directly to your stylist. We appreciate your understanding.

Service Guarantees

If for any reason you are unhappy with your service, please don’t hesitate to contact us so we can make the necessary adjustments done so within 14 days of the original service to ensure your complete satisfaction. These adjustments CAN NOT be booked independently online.

If outside of 14 days, payments may need to be made due to new growth, environmental concerns and home care complications, subject to management approval. Any approved service refunds will be issued on a case by case consideration by the owner,  in the form of a salon service only credit.

Retail Returns/Exchanges

COVID-19 UPDATE:We are temporarily suspending this policy.

If for any reason you are unhappy with your hair care products, we kindly ask you to return/exchange within 30 days of original purchase, unopened/unsealed products may be returned/exchanged past 30 days subject to management approval. Our Oribe brand products have a company return policy outside Meraki’s, please ask for details. Used products within the 30 days may be exchanged/returned for a 50% salon retail only credit, unopened within 30 days will receive 100% salon retail only credit. These can be applied to retail purchases at any time. Certain exclusions apply, see front desk coordinators for questions.

Any and all appliances, hair brushes, combs, hair accessories must be in original packaging and UNUSED for state sanitation laws or we will not be able to accept returns or exchanges.

Hair extensions except for clip-ins will not be sold or given to someone individually outside of installation on the head per NC Cosmetology sanitation laws. Extensions are sold as a total desired look and any “extra” materials used outside of fulfilling the desired look are the property of Meraki Salon. These can be used for future maintenance inside the salon. All costs and maintenance required will be addressed at the consult in salon.

Children

COVID-19 UPDATE:We can not allow any people present in salon other than the one getting the service at this time to reduce our required capacity.

Please do not leave underage(18 and under) children unattended. We have many hot/sharp potentially dangerous objects in use. All guardians responsible for service payments, we ask you remain during consultation to get an estimate on price incurred and encourage you to ask any questions prior to application & services performed. If you choose to not be present for consent of services at the consultation up to check-out and payment, Meraki Salon and stylists will not be held liable or accept liability of consent for those underage by law. Please be aware per our other policies, service consent forms will need to be signed prior to services performed for all underage clients.
