Please Don't Bring Additional People to Your Appointments

Due to the size of some of our salon locations, the pandemic and our desire to create the best environment possible for our clients and team, we cannot have guests of guests on the floor or in reception area. If you have 1 guest and we have space in the reception area, they may sit but not for more than 1 visiting guest. Verbal reminders may need to be given and guests maybe asked to wait outside. Additional guests are allowed for guardians of minors or a guest with special needs who needs an accommodation. We appreciate your understanding.

Payments Accepted

We accept cash and ALL major credit cards. No checks! We CAN NOT accept any prepaid gift cards like Visa gift cards and the like, our terminal can’t process them. We can’t accept split credit card or debit payments in 1 transaction per our merchant policies. A card on file will be required for booking.

Required Color Consultations & Deposits

To ensure the most consistent client care and top experience here at Meraki, consultations in varying durations are required for all new to us clients(cut or color). ALL New color or a change in current color/techniques must have a 30 min color consult(in person or virtual) performed prior to performing the service, this is NON REFUNDABLE & PAYMENT IS REQUIRED. This is to fairly compensate the stylist for that time and their expertise in chatting with you. The full service may not be guaranteed same day. As a courtesy this payment will be applied to that future color service. This applies to any extensions, color corrections or other speciality type service outside of the above.

Required deposits up to 50% of the estimated total will be required for reserving color corrections, extension packages and hourly transformations. These will be non refundable if you cancel or no show. Your stylist has the discretion to apply a deposit for any service they may feel needs one.

Cancellation Policy

We require a 48 hour notice if you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment. If you’re unable to give us adequate notice outside of emergencies, as a courtesy to our stylists and the time reserved on their schedules, 50% of the estimated service for less than 48 hours notice or 90% if you are a NO CALL NO SHOW, this will be charged to the card on file or as a balance owed at your next visit, this is non refundable and goes directly to your stylist. You will not be able to book online until this is resolved. A credit card on file will be required and used for this purpose. Future appointments will need a deposit paid in order to book and are not guaranteed.  You are allowed one free pass. After that it will be by owner/manager approval with communication from the guest.

This policy is designed to provide partial compensation for our highly skilled hair stylists, who rely on a busy schedule for a rewarding career. This policy helps us retain our highly trained employees. Meraki Salon does not receive compensation for this but rather it goes directly to your stylist. We appreciate your understanding.

Service Guarantees

If for any reason you are unhappy with your service, please don’t hesitate to contact us so we can make the necessary adjustments done so within 14 days of the original service to ensure your complete satisfaction. We would love the opportunity to make it right and have you leave feeling fabulous!

These adjustments CAN NOT be booked independently online. 

If outside of 14 days, payments may need to be made due to new growth, environmental concerns and home care complications, subject to management approval.

Retail Returns/Exchanges

If you have an allergic reaction/sensitivity with your hair care products, we kindly ask you to return/exchange within 30 days of original purchase, unopened/unsealed products may be returned/exchanged past 30 days subject to management approval. Visibly used products can not be returned regardless of time due to sanitation issues except for reasons stated here. If the container/dispenser is defective please ket us know for a full exchange only.

Any and all appliances, hair brushes, halos or clip ins, combs, hair accessories must be in original packaging and UNUSED for state sanitation laws or we will not be able to accept returns or exchanges.

Hair extensions except for clip-ins/Halos will not be sold or given to someone individually outside of installation on the head per NC Cosmetology sanitation laws. Extensions are sold as a total desired look and any “extra” materials used outside of fulfilling the desired look are the property of Meraki Salon as professional goods. These can be used for future maintenance inside the salon. All costs and maintenance required will be addressed at the consult in salon.

Children/Underage

Children under the age of 10 are not allowed in the space and no new children services will be performed due to safety issues. Any children services(under age 18) will need to be actively supervised for the duration of their services. Children’s(10-18 years old)services will be booked per our normal length based and color service categories.

All guardians responsible for service payments, we ask you remain during consultation to get an estimate on price incurred and encourage you to ask any questions prior to application & services performed. If you choose to not be present for consent of services at the consultation up to check-out and payment, Meraki Salon and stylists will not be held liable or accept liability of consent for those underage by law. Please be aware per our other policies, service consent forms will need to be signed prior to services performed for all underage clients.
