Happy 5 years to Meraki!

Can’t believe it’s been 5 years already, although it seems so long yet so quick. Our company has grown so much these years with 2022 bringing the most growth yet with rebranding and really creating a “voice” for our non toxic culture, education and team which have set us apart these years and will continue to do so. I’m proud of what we have accomplished so far with winning several business industry awards and are among the top 50 OWAY organic salons in the world as well as generating many 6 figure stylists past and present, helping them achieve success in their personal and professional lives.

I have never lost my passion for this industry or the people in it even when its tough and I may doubt my abilities, yet I pride myself on my tenacity and growth mindset which have carried me far beyond my challenging upbringing from Northern Michigan to Philly to here in North Carolina. I’m committed to continuing to generate wealth for other women and developing leaders in my space to conquer whatever may come our way.

I have only ever wanted to help, support and serve others in a way that would have helped me years ago, as all things stem from our own experiences and lens on life. I wasn’t sure what I would do when my health and severe skin issues forced me to retire from working behind the chair many years ago. I still felt I had so much left to give to this industry and I’m glad I used my genuine experiences to create Meraki and all it stands for today, down to every researched product and chemical to connect it to my why, why I opened organic salons and continue to refine that approach to hair from my own health journey down to educating, coaching and mentoring on mindset, healthy boundaries and financial literacy for creatives to empower them to live a life of security and success, not just a job but a career. How to do so while maintaining your integrity, authenticity and care for yourself mentally, emotionally and physically as well as how to give your best to your clients every time! I now teach this to other salon owners in the country.
